Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

I AM NOT SURE WHAT MY FIRST WORDS WERE, but I’d like to think they were some form of prayer, even if that is a categorical nonfiction. The first prayer I learned as a child was,

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.
