T.S. Golden bear

Jacoby slept where he could as he waited for new instructions or better yet a dream, as he finally made his way to Astoria, fearful of capture. A source of information for Jacoby was the newspaper and he searched for any reference to his name and picture, but did not see anything, checking an old Oregonian but saw nothing.

Doctor Cartwright had in fact put the pieces together of Jacoby as conduct great research on Jacoby’s history, starting with the Tegger ranch and what led him to be caught in the first place as he reached out to Mr. Tegger who himself was eager to get his hands on him, having heard nothing of his whereabouts until now. Mr. Tegger was quite shaken by Doctor Cartwright’s contact, having been on the drink since learning of his wife’s passing, having to care for the children, but fortunately was able to find a new bride and with a baby on the way. Mr. Tegger also could not recall what he knew of Jacoby before hiring hi, only that he was well skilled and hearing of him spending time in California, but that was all. Doctor Cartwright advised Doctor Burdick about Jacoby and his case originating with him being caught for possibly amputating a wife and mother and more recently the amputations of his own patients Clarence Goodwin (35) finding the two cases related, which both found interesting. Both felt it necessary to catch Jacoby immediately as he needed to be cared for and placed in the strictest conditions to prevent future death, both agreed. Agreeing they would reach out to their local papers at the Oregonian and the Daily Patriot, both holding influence in their communities.

Jacoby thought greatly about what he had done, as the images of Nadia, Mrs. Tegger and now Clarence as the body parts were adding up. Feeling the need to keep going as Jacoby thought that in modern times, he probably would have been caught by now as his face would be all over the news and online. Thinking of where he would travel to next,
