The Treasury

The Trésor (Treasury; admission €3/2; 9.30am-6pm Mon-Fri, 9.30am-6.30pm Sat, 1.30-6.30pm Sun) contains relics including the Ste-Couronne (Holy Crown), allegedly the wreath of thorns placed on Jesus’ head before he was crucified. It’s exhibited between 3pm and 4pm on the first Friday of each month, 3pm to 4pm every Friday during Lent and 10am to 5pm on Good Friday.

The Towers

The Tours de Notre Dame (Towers; www.monuments-nationaux.fr; rue du Cloître Notre Dame, 4e; admission €8/5; 10am-6.30pm Mon-Fri, 10am-11pm Sat & Sun Jun-Aug, 10am-6.30pm daily Apr, May & Sep, to 5.30pm daily Jan-Mar & Oct-Dec; Cité) entrance is via the North Tower; limber up to climb the 422 spiralling steps (there’s no lift/elevator) to the top.
