Chicken Potpie with Biscuits

Drop biscuits save a lot of time (and fuss), since they don’t need to be rolled out. The dough will be rather wet, so I use a spring-loaded ice cream scoop to distribute it over the top of the potpie.

2 cups (280g) all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt

¾ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1½ teaspoons baking powder (preferably aluminum-free)

½ teaspoon baking soda

8 tablespoons (4 ounces/115g) unsalted butter, chilled and cubed

½ cup packed (50g) finely chopped watercress (optional)

1 cup (250ml) buttermilk
