Symmetry of location of fatigue

STRENGTH GOAL

Two sets of 12–15 reps to moderate fatigue with symmetry of strength (right and left arms fatigue at the same rate)

SELF-TEST INSTRUCTIONS

While lying and holding dumbbells above you, as shown, slowly lower your arms until dumbbells are chest level—so the elbows drop low and you feel a stretch in the chest.

Return your arms to the vertical position and repeat until moderate high fatigue is felt (when you stop you should feel you could still do 3–4 more reps).
