Chapter 19
Alexander
Naomi sat in the living room as I finished dishing up for us. When did we get to this point of our fun relationship? Just yesterday it was all about sex, and now we were eating dinner every other night together.
I loved it! I was fucking loving it. Her being here every other night and day made me feel less lonely. Naomi could be goofy as hell and managed to have me in stitches sometimes.
I donât know, we just fit so well together. Of course we had our days of indifference; who didnât? What stood was we were pretty okay with where we were now.
I walked into the living room with our plates, and I could see Naomi was deep in thought, her fingers gently massaging her neck. I set down the plates on the coffee table and sat down beside her. I carefully pried her fingers away from her neck. She looked at me, shocked, but still allowed me to move her fingers away.
âItâs still red,â I muttered as I lightly traced the bruising. âIâm sorry,â I whispered as I pressed a soft kiss on her neck. I choked her a bit hard. I got carried away a lot when I was with her and forgot to take it slow with her.
âItâs okay, itâs not painful at all.â Her hoarse voice made me smile. She winced slightly and rubbed her neck. âItâs inside that is sore.â She smiled, and I bit my lips to stop myself from grinning even wider.
âIâm sorry,â I whispered again, and she rolled her eyes as she leaned forward to grab her plate.
âThat isnât what you were saying when you were pushing my head down your diââ I pressed my lips against hers. âFor my first time, youâd think the receiver would be a whole lot gentler with me,â she teased, and my cheeks became irritatedly hot.
âYou make me lose control.â I responded weakly, and she hummed as if she didnât believe me. âIâll make you some ginger tea once youâre done eating.â I kissed her temple.
âMake it after Iâm done showering.â She turned to face the TV and ignored me as she watched her favorite drama.
She must really be a sports person, or sheâs just watching it for the men.
âHmm!â She lightly squealed as her favorite character showed up on the screen. He hadnât done anything extraordinary, and yet here she was cheering him on for doing absolutely nothing.
Sheâs watching it for the men.
Once we were done with our meal, she left to go take a shower, and I stayed cleaning up the kitchen. It became a routine with us that whoever cooked would end up cleaning the kitchen as well, something sheâd learned from Mia, her fatherâs girlfriend.
Apparently it helped you stay responsible for your own shit. It made sense, and I thought it was a great lesson. If you do something, whether good or bad, you should be willing to clean up your mess in the process of it all.
I finished
