Leslie Masters Villani made dozens of these name tags for a golden anniversary party.

Project 27:

Fun figures

Polymer clay people

Pose your friends and family to show their personality.

Clay is one of the first materials for child’s play because it appeals to tactile and visual senses. It molds so easily into forms. Natural clay from the earth needs to be fired in a kiln at high temperatures to harden. Modeling clay with oil added becomes malleable but never hardens. Polymer clay is a plastic material that remains malleable and hardens when fired in a normal kitchen oven at 275 degrees. This clay comes in a variety of colors from subtle to wild. In this project, photo faces combine with poly clay figures to make funny little characters. Use them for place cards, gift decoration, toys, or collectibles.
