It’s so damn awkward to have Lero leave like that, and I just know he’s going to fuck another woman.

Does it bother me?

No.

Should it?

I don’t know.

But I do know for certain that I can’t stand being in my room anymore. Not right now. If I’m only going to be able to get turned on by thinking about Nestrol, then things have taken a turn for the worse. Damn it! Why can’t I just be happy with things remaining as they were?

Because I wasn’t happy even before Nestrol fucked me in unbelievable ways. His fucking me just reminds me of the incredible sex I’ve been missing out on.

No wonder I haven’t been able to get pregnant. Not only are the guys barely doing it for me, but I’m supposed to love them too? Yeah, not happening. I’ll need to test out new breeders or something, and that something is not Nestrol. It can’t be. It won’t be.

I wait several minutes so as to minimize my chances of seeing Lero and then open the door. Peering up and down the hallway reveals no one there, not even a guard, and I slip out and dash over to Sadie’s door. My ear presses against it, listening to see if she’s preoccupied, but I hear nothing.

“Come in,” my friend calls.

I open the door, and her eyes widen with shock and then happiness.

“Girl, you’re gonna get us both in trouble!” she says as she crosses over to give me a hug.

“Do you want me to leave?”

“Don’t be redic.” She hugs me again before pulling back and eyeing me. “What’s going on?”

“How is it going for you?”

“As far as…”

I wiggle my eyebrows.

Sadie laughs. “Oh. Well, good enough, I suppose.”

“How many do you cycle through?”

“Two. Not all of us are lucky enough to have three.” She bumps her hip into mine.

I roll my eyes. “trust me, you can have my three.”

She lifts her eyebrows and crosses her arms. “Why aren’t you happy with them anymore? I thought you were cool with it.”

“I was, but it’s been so long, and I thought they were dominating, but they’re not, and I didn’t want them to be, but maybe now I do, and…” I sigh and shrug helplessly.

Sadie eyes me suspiciously. “What changed?”

“No…thing.”

My friend just shakes her head. "Don't lie to me. Spill, girl. What's going on? Clearly you want to talk about it, or else you wouldn't have come here, so spill the beans."

“Did you know that we have to fall in love with the Novan to better our chances of conceiving?”

She blinks a few times. “What in the what? Are you serious? Because that sounds bunk.”

“It’s a theory.” I shrug. “I heard it straight from my sister.”

“Wow. Okay.”

“So, you gonna get pregnant anytime soon?”

“If love is a requirement, probably not. Is that why you’re all up in arms? Because you know you’ll never love one of the three.”

“Something like that.”

Sadie scowls. “Girl, I am not a dentist. I do not pull teeth, so either we talk, or you leave.
