In my dream I hugged my grandmother and told her, ‘You’re one of my most favourite people ever.’ We were at her old house with the huge balcony. I used to make my ex-boyfriend drive to the old house sometimes and we’d park and stare at it for a while in the dark. It seems like I should live there, that I should find a way of living there one day.

The person I was supposed to meet tonight called me during their lunchbreak to tell me they couldn’t meet up now because they needed to do laundry. And they were going on holiday soon, so I couldn’t see them until they got back. I said I felt stressed when they took days to reply to my messages. ‘Oh I’m flattered I’m making you stressed,’ they said. ‘You must really like me.’
