SATURDAY AFTERNOON, however, was a whole other ballgame. After Alonzo had breakfast with his sister and I finished up soccer practice, Alonzo agreed to meet me in my dorm room. Doug promised to be gone all afternoon. We had a home game at 4:00 p.m., leaving several hours for naked fun before I had to hightail it to the locker room.
When I heard a knock on the door, I practically yanked the doorknob off opening it.
“Hey,” I greeted him with a huge smile, gesturing for him to step inside.
“Hey,” Alonzo said, giving me a half smile. He stepped into the room with his hands in the front pockets of his jeans, looking around the room as I closed and locked the door.
I walked up to him, giving his shoulder a little squeeze. “Are you sure you’re okay with this? I know we were all gung-ho yesterday before Doug spoiled our plans, but… you don’t look so hot right now.” I asked, because he looked anything but fine. Alonzo was visibly shaking as he stood in front of me.
He nodded nervously. “My sister, she… bugs me.”
“I noticed. So what did she say?” I ran my hand down his arm and worked his hand with my fingers until he lifted it out of his pocket. He might feel uncomfortable for some reason, but I wasn’t going to allow him to remain closed off while standing in front of me. I smoothed his bangs to the side so I could look him in the eyes as I held his hand.
“She had to make a big deal about my shirt. It irked me. Plus she’s always saying things that are so crude. I’m not like that, and she assumes things that…. Ah! I don’t know,” he whined in frustration.
“Hey, it’s okay,” I said, caressing his jaw and kissing his forehead. “We can sit on the bed and talk about it if you want. I like your shirt; it’s white, but it’s still Green Day.” I caressed his cheek with the backs of my fingers. Anything I could do to help him relax.
“I’m not….” He darted his eyes again and started taking deep breaths. “I’m not wearing the long-sleeved one underneath.”
“Oh wow! You’re not. That’s great.” I ran my hands over his arms and down to each hand, celebrating slightly by swinging his arms out to each side. He looked embarrassed, but that telltale dimple that only popped out when he smiled spoke for him. “What?” I asked. “Don’t you like me swinging your arms around like a human octopus? I can think of better uses for them.”
“For my arms?”
“Yeah.” I laced our fingers together and then moved both his hands behind his back. I stepped closer, my legs and chest rubbing against his. I kissed him several times, but Alonzo started laughing so I pulled back. “What so funny?”
He smiled shyly, blushed, and looked away. “Not funny ha-ha, but funny ironic. I can’t be tense with you around. I guess I laughed because I’ve never felt like this.
