We didn’t spend much time at the charity event after our love making in the car. It was hard and brutal, but it was nothing less than making love. After we finally detangled ourselves from each other and made our way back into the venue, I couldn’t do anything but stare at her.

She yawns as we walk into my apartment, kicking off her shoes the second she’s able. “I don’t know how you do this more than once a year. It’s exhausting to smile so much.” She says and stretches her neck moving her head from side to side.

“It becomes a bit more routine the more you do it. It’ll come easy for you in no time.” I say pulling my tie off as we both make our way to our bedroom.

“You say this like it’s going to be a recurring event.” She laughs, but it stops me in my tracks. Why would she think this was a one time thing? As far as I’m concerned Ella’s going to be my date to all the events I ever have to go to.
