On the 30th anniversary of the great 1932 Minnesota-Wisconsin football game, Mickey Maguire met with band director Ray Dvorak at Camp Randall Stadium. Maguire scored all three touchdowns in the 1932 victory for the Badgers; afterwards, his heroic efforts were described in the media as “all but flawless . . . the standout performer this series has produced in any one game.” (Image courtesy of the UW–Madison Archives.)

Pictured here is the 1932 Minnesota at Wisconsin game program feature. The Badgers won this match up by the slim margin of 20-13. It would take 10 years before Wisconsin won in the annual rivalry versus the Golden Gophers. For the remainder of the 1930s into the beginning of the 1940s, Minnesota teams taking it to the gridiron year in and year out were among the most dominant in college football history.
