CARDIO IS WHAT KEEPS ME MOTIVATED

I know that when people see my body, they think I’m a weight-training junkie. But the truth is that it’s my cardio workout that keeps me on track. When I slack off on my aerobics, I find that I lose control over my eating, even if I continue with my resistance-training workout. I’m sure this is because my endorphins tank without cardio. Endorphins are produced in the brain during cardio exercise, as well as times when we are excited, in pain, after eating certain foods (like chocolates), and during orgasm. They provide that “runner’s high” and overall good feeling, as well as additional energy. So it’s the cardio that lifts my mood and keeps me feeling young and healthy, which motivates me to stay with the program.
