When Montrell got them a hotel room, his reasoning made sense. Since he still hadn’t found his own place, he was living with his godsister and wanted them to have some privacy. But as his hand inched further and further between her legs, she couldn’t help but wonder if sex was the main thing on his mind.

Her eyes rolled to the ceiling, and her head tilted slightly as Montrell placed feather-soft kisses on her neck. As soon as his knuckles brushed her pussy, Amalia caught his hand. Stopping his kisses, Montrell looked at her, confusion filling his eyes.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, gripping her thigh and spreading her legs so that he could hover over her.

“I’m not ready to go all the way yet.”

“Why not?”

“This isn’t exactly how I saw myself losing my virginity, Montrell.”

“I thought you said you were cool with us taking it there?”

Amalia pushed him off of her gently so she could sit up in the middle of the bed. “Yeah, if it happened naturally. I want to be romanced and filled with passion. I want it to be special.”

“This is special.”

Her eyes rolled as her head shook softly. “Not special enough. You haven’t even said anything nice or told me what you like about me. You just brought me here, cut the TV on, then started feeling me up.”

Montrell released an irritated sigh as he sat up. Jaw clenched, he massaged his temples.

“We’ve been at this for two months now, Amalia. I have needs that I need my wife to be able to satisfy.”

His hand slid under her yellow sun dress again, and as she pushed it away, she regretted wearing the loose-fitting, short dress. The April weather granted them a cool breeze, but it was hot enough for it to feel like early summer.

“It’s not that I have a problem with that. I just want it to be special. This is my first time going all the way.” She paused, considering her next statement carefully. “Do you even feel like you’re growing in love with me yet? Or is it just lust?”

Montrell scratched the back of his head as he stood and headed for the bathroom.

“You getting too deep, Amalia. I like you, but I told you I wasn’t trying to rush. You can’t be coming around in these short ass dresses, letting all that ass jiggle, and not expect me to want to fuck.”

Without waiting for her to respond, Montrell slammed the bathroom door behind himself. She jumped slightly, clutching her chest as her eyes watered. Her intentions were never to tempt Montrell with something he couldn’t have. Struggling between holding herself accountable and expecting him to have more respect for her and self-control and discipline, Amalia slipped out of bed and back into her sandals. After grabbing her phone and purse off the small table by the window, she left the room and headed down to the hotel bar.

She tried not to be filled with frustration, but it was starting to consume her anyway. It wasn’t just about getting married to avoid premarital sex and shaming her family.
