Allison,

Your hunch about Mythol was right on the nose. I should have been reading deeper into it. The stories begin innocently enough. By the look of it, Howard has been writing them for a while now. Way before The Void showed up. Everything was peachy until about twenty chapters in. That’s when antagonists began infiltrating Howard’s mythical city and expanding their influence.

I found a story about Caine Blackwell and the Beaufort clan using their vampire mind control to sway an election. Now Blackwell is the mayor. He has an office in the Metis building. Another story was about how he’s importing greblins into the city at high volume. They’re building an army. We can’t figure out what their endgame is, but this looks bad.

On top of that, I got a message from our favorite space opera author, Raymond Larson. He said Cloudborne busted out of his cell in the Galactic Explorer book earlier today, and Zolethos was with him. We have two of the worst possible antagonists running amok together. They’re already a dozen steps ahead, and we’re scrambling to catch up.

It doesn’t look good. I hope you’ve got better news from your end.
