Like his father, Dominick Piscitelli also became president of the Dell ‘Assunta Society. He became Westbury village’s first Italian American mayor in 1974.

Joseph Piscitelli, cousin of Dominick, became president of the Dell ‘Assunta Society in the 1980s.

This photograph shows members at work in construction of the Dell ‘Assunta Society hall that became the focal point for meetings, dances, and innumerable wedding celebrations. Both society and the Dell ‘Assunta hall endure.

Members of the Dell ‘Assunta Society were proud of their newly constructed hall on Maple Street in Westbury. For years, it served as the site of numerous organizational and private parties.
