THE LIMO

Limo shots have really changed for me. I remember when getting the bride and groom to smile inside the limo was the key shot. I do still take that photo of the bride and groom, but I’ve also stepped up my game with a dramatic image outside the limo. My clients are loving it!

Here’s how I do it. First, it’s the use of a 15mm lens that gives these shots their impact. I get down on my knees about 3 to 4 feet from the couple and shoot up ward for this super-wide view. Then, I have my assistant hold the veil over my lens to create a nice leading line that pulls your eye toward the couple. You want some slack on the veil—just enough so it looks like it’s caught in a gentle wind. If you pull the veil too tight it won’t have the same effect.
