“I said no more doctors!”

Kate sighed. A couple of minutes went by in silence. Finally Dr. Corning spoke. “They say medical marijuana helps with glaucoma.

And it might help with the pain also.” He smiled. “But I don’t give referrals. You’ll have to find a doctor who specializes in that.”

Kate smiled back and looked at Ruby out of the corner of her eye, but Ruby showed no emotion. “Well, thanks Dr. Corning. Let’s go Ruby.” She helped Ruby up and they shuffled out the door.
