Slamming into a bare wall of muscle, I trip over my feet and can’t scramble in time to avoid the fall. I scoff. “I did not!”

Suddenly my legs can move. Spurred on by his obvious taunting, I toss myself off of him, dropping heavily onto the ground by his side.

Drak lets out a pained grunt and I realize too late that I’ve kneed him in the process. Right in between his legs.

He seems to wheeze a bit, and sits up, clutching his dick.

I cover my eyes and yelp. “I’m so sorry! Are you okay?”

“Hu-nims are not honorable opponents,” he says, voice strained. “Kicking a male where he loves himself most, have you no morality?”

“I didn’t mean it!”

“It feels as if you have meant it!”

“You should have shoved me off of you!”

“Maybe if you did—” Wait, what? “Sister?”

He makes a noise of agreement, and it sounds less pained. “Yes, my sister, the vicious creature who has just wounded my cock without reason.”

“I—Erg! Will you just put on some pants so I can open my eyes and get Marrec!”

“You wish for your mate to finish the job then? You wish for my own brother to vanquish me because you have tackled me and kicked my cock with your tiny knees?”

“Vanquish you!? Are you crazy? And stop saying cock!”

“Drak!”

“I am clothed now,” he reports with a huff. “My cock is bruised, and I will likely never recover from this betrayal, but I am clothed.”

My eyes fly open. “Betrayal! It was an accident!”

I’m about to protest further when the biggest grin breaks out on his face.

“Are you… are you messing with me? Did that even hurt you?”

“Oh, it hurt very much,” he corrects. “I am very proud of you for the sneak attack. It is good to remain battle ready.”

I splutter. “You said it was dishonorable!”

He snorts. “Honor is for the dead. The strongest of us will do whatever it takes to survive. Next time, do not stop after only one kick.”

“I wasn’t actually trying to kick you,” I insist.
