Chapter 7

Josie turned around when she heard the waves lapping the sand behind her. She was back on the beach and was trying to wrap her head around everything she had been a part of. “I can't believe I was able to spend time with Ginny. This gets crazier every time I turn around.” Again, she found herself talking to the beach in front of her. She hadn’t stayed to find out what Ginny was going through as her spirit reentered her body. Josie wondered if Ginny would remember anything from their conversation. She hoped so that way Mrs. Williams wouldn't have to break the news to her. Josie was glad to be back on the beach. Being here would allow her to find Andy to talk to her about the whole situation. She wanted to tell her about seeing her parents and tell her about Ginny’s spirit. She was looking on the bright side of everything to this point after the discussion she had with Ginny. Josie being able to talk with Ginny was more than she could have expected. It helped her feel better after everything else that had taken place since the accident. Josie was thankful to talk to her even if Ginny had no recollection of their conversation.

She decided to take a walk down the beach to clear her head. Her whole experience had been overwhelming to this point. Some things were very negative like seeing her parents receive the news of her death. Their grief had left her feeling devastated for them. Other things were the complete opposite like being able to spend time with Ginny. Ginny had brought some positivity back into Josie's heart. Up ahead, she saw Andy walking toward her. “I was coming to check on you. I thought you might be out walking to enjoy this beautiful view.” Andy had some idea of what Josie was going through, as did most everyone else here. “How have things been going?”

“It has been interesting, that’s for sure. Some of the things I have seen and been a part of were hardly things I could have expected.” Andy fell into step next to Josie as she continued to walk down the beach. “Seeing my parents receive the news that I didn’t make it was the most heart wrenching scene I have ever observed. It was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I am still trying to wrap my ahead around this whole thing myself. For me to see what they were going through, it’s something I still can’t come close to grasping at the moment.”

Andy nodded her head seeming to agree with Josie. “I understand what you are saying and where you are coming from. I experienced something similar when I saw my family after they found out about my death. It was awful to see what it was doing to them and I couldn’t help but worry about who would take care of them now that I was gone. I wanted to go to them and comfort each and every one of them.
