Capture of two bear cubs near to Luchon

Some tourists walking not far from the Hospice de France early this afternoon saw two bear cubs. Fearing that the mother bear could be in the area they quickly made their way to the Hospice de France and told the manager and reputed guide Odon Haurillon.

M Haurillon, some friends, and some policemen who were patrolling nearby immediately organised a hunt.

The cubs were found without difficulty, one allowing itself to be captured easily. The other climbed a tree but was soon captured as well. The two cubs, which seem to be aged one and a half months, were brought back to the Hospice where they were given a welcome present of a bottle of milk.
