Chocolate ice cream studded with toasted nuts and marshmallow bits makes this a modern favorite, as well. It’s like a sundae in one chocolaty scoop! Swap out the pecans for any of your favorite nuts and it will still be a winner.

5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped

8 extra-large egg yolks

1½ cups half-and-half

1 cup sugar

3 cups heavy (whipping) cream

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Generous pinch kosher salt

2 cups chopped pecans

2 cups mini marshmallows
