Postscript

It’s a good thing the aforementioned G.M. never asked me to put in writing that I would use the Lexus Coupe in my HBO special because when I spoke with the folks who ran the theater where we shot the show, they said, “You can’t drive a fucking car out onto our stage!”

I did, however, keep my word and listed the G.M. as well as the dealership in the closing credits. I’m not 100 percent cheese.

Post-Postscript

After shooting many days on the soundstage at Culver, we all have to shoot for a day down in Long Beach, which will double for Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for the scene where Tom, Demi, and I see the crime scene, meet Jack and J. T. Walsh, and then have a not-so-enjoyable lunch with the wacky colonel. It’s a forty-five-minute drive to Long Beach.

“You want a ride to work tomorrow?” Tom asks me the day before.

“Sure,” I say.

He tells me to meet him at some location but won’t say why and we’ll go from there.

I show up the next day, and there’s Tom standing next to a fucking helicopter.
