REV. GEORGE M. DORWART HOUSE. M.J. Murphy built the Tudor Revival–style house in 1926 on the southeast corner of San Antonio and Eighth Avenues. Reverend Dorwart was affiliated with the All Saints’ Episcopal Church and also served on Carmel’s board of trustees from 1920 to 1922, at the same time as Murphy.

DR. H.R. GREEN HOUSE. This beloved house was voted one of Carmel’s favorites in a 1992 readers’ poll in the Carmel Pine Cone. The two-story Tudor Revival–style cottage was built by M.J. Murphy in 1927 on Camino Real Street 4SE of Tenth Avenue for a Palo Alto doctor.
