Imagination is everything!

The challenge is to use your imagination as frequently and with as much colour, clarity and feeling as you can muster. I refer to it as a challenge because when most people make the conscious decision to try it for the first time they give up quickly. The reason they give up quickly is because the image isn’t always as clear as they would wish or expect it to be or worse still if the goal didn’t materialise the very next day they would say it didn’t work and move on, discrediting imagination.

The reason imagination is so powerful and critical to success is as I have already explained, but let me clarify: we choose our thoughts with our conscious mind, this is our thinking mind in which we can choose to accept or reject any thought that comes to us and through it we can create ideas.

Once we have consciously accepted a thought we turn it over to our subconscious mind. Now our subconscious mind has no ability to reject this thought once it’s handed over, that is the role of the conscious. The subconscious mind is our emotional mind, it the part of the mind we feel with and as we feel we send our body into an altered state of vibration. We either feel good or bad about the thought. As we begin to feel a certain way that’s when we start to act. If we feel good we act in a positive way, if we feel bad we act in a negative way. That’s where our imagination has such a vital role to play. If we use our imagination to make that thought feel as positive as possible by visualising the goal and all of the goodness attached to it we can make ourselves feel great. If we feel great, we act great.

It’s our actions and behaviour that determines our results. If you are wondering why you don’t get the results you want in your life, think about the way you have been feeling and how you have used your imagination. Imagination has a huge, huge role to play; how do you use yours?

3. Will – Another of our fine intellectual faculties is our will. By this I do not mean willpower, I mean our ability to focus, our ability to have a goal and to concentrate on that goal and to focus on it at the exclusion of all other distractions. I mean our sense of purposefulness and clarity that allows us the concentration and determination to achieve whatever it is we set out to achieve. We all have a strong will and we have all used it many, many times as children and as we were growing up. Just like our imagination as children, our will was very prominent in our lives, but as we grew up many of us used these gifts less and less, to the point where just like any muscle if you don’t use it often enough it becomes weak.
