Just a little further,” my husband said to me as we continued the long, steep climb up Double Peak. The last 100-foot stretch was nearly a straight-up climb. I was huffing and puffing…and vowing never to do something like this again. But by the time I reached the top, my husband took my hand and walked me to where I could see over the edge. There beneath me was a breathtaking panoramic view of not only the town where we live, but the neighboring cities on either side, with a view stretching westward to the Pacific Ocean. It was a beautiful, clear morning. And my husband knew what I would experience at the top if I just kept going.

Lord, there are times I complain about the “uphill climbs” in my life. But You know what is awaiting me at the top. I trust You, Lord, even when the climb is difficult.
