171 > It sucks when you have more fun than I do

Okay fine, say you are having more fun than I am. Do you need to rub it in?

And do you ever plan on inviting me to any of those Sunday morning beach bocce parties? Or how about the Drunkpocalypse party of your friends that I kinda sorta know? Or are you sitting at home just like I am trying, pretending you actually have fun on Friday nights? ’Cause if that’s the case, I’ll share my case of PBR with you.

172 > Happy birthday message BS

As if birthdays needed to be any more stressful. Now you not only have to worry about getting closer to collecting social security, but you need to worry about whether people will post birthday wishes to your Wall . which really causes us to take a giant step backward. Remember the stress of your seventh birthday, when your mom planned that big shindig with the special cake and the magician and no one showed because Disney on Ice was in town? It wasn’t because they didn’t like you. Honest! And if no one posts to your Wall, it must be because there’s something big going on over at Twitter. It has nothing to do with you. I swear to God.

173 > No one calls you on your birthday anymore

As though the public scrutiny of your birthday wasn’t bad enough, people now think that a posting on your Facebook page is enough of a birthday well-wish that nothing more is required. Now, we’re all adults here; we don’t need people to fall all over themselves to wish us a happy birthday. But when your voice mail is conspicuously empty on your birthday, it can certainly make you feel like crap.

174 > The paranoia of overposting (am I doing it?)

Oh, God. Am I “one of those people”? Am I? One of those people that all of their friends “hide”? I have so much to say! I love to share and once upon a time I thought Facebook was for sharing, but then I overheard conversations about the annoying people who overpost and now all I can do is worry that I’m one of them.
