Above is the Related Channels option/section I’m talking about...

Most of the YouTubers I see intentionally disable this feature! Which is the meanest thing they do, by NOT letting other related YouTube channels show on their channels.

But, did you know? Doing this, turning this off, will decrease YOUR chances of getting more FREE YouTube Subscribers, too?

When I disabled it on one of MY channels, here’s what YouTube tells you.

If you have it turned off on YOUR channel, I’d highly recommend you turning it back ON. This is the feature, in my eyes, that also lets your channel RANK in YouTube search on its name. If you know a bit about SEO, and how it works, you already know that if your channel will show on OTHER channels, the anchor text is your channel’s name there, which means a Backlink from YouTube to your channel with that anchor text.

This is how it is going to help your channel RANK better in search, when someone will search for your channel name on YouTube.

This happens, eventually. Your channel ranks on its name at #1 position on YouTube as well as on Google. But, with this feature, it happens a bit earlier than it would have, if you didn’t enable this feature.

Some people say this feature doesn’t work! It doesn’t help you get subscribers.

Welp. I think it does! In fact, I’m SURE it does. If it didn’t, why would it be even available to creators? YouTube isn’t a small business that one person owns. It’s world’s second most visited search engine and first most visited video directory and video sharing social network.

Plus, think about it...

When your channel shows on some other related channel. Someone notices it and clicks on your channel. You have the best content you can put out there on your channel. What do you think that viewer is going to do, after watching a video or two?

Is he going to LEAVE? Or is he going to SUBSCRIBE? ;)

Of course, he’s going to subscribe to you. Why would someone loose a great quality channel on YouTube?

In fact, I have MYSELF found a couple of channels this way. And each and every channel I subscribe to, I become its regular viewer who likes, watches and comments on most of the videos that channel puts out.
