Philias takes me to the shore of the palace for a swim. I have told her everything that has happened these days while she cannot accompany me.
âTo convince him you have to play his game,â she assures.
"But he hasn't even told me that he already has a fight for me," I protest.
"I've already told him, it's not pleasant and it's less safe, but it can be effective," she says.
I walk into the water after taking off my sandals, I wait for Philias.
âAren't you going in?â I protest.
"Not now, when the temperature drops," she answers.
I submerged watching the small fish and shells in the sand. I go up to get some air... I'm surprised to see that Idon is where Philias is supposed to be waiting for me. Sitting with one of the knees bent and his elbow resting on it, which supports the weight of his head on his jaw.
âNow what do you pretend?â I ask.
"Tell me when you leave the palace," he protests.
âPhilias is with me.â I protest in defense.
"It doesn't matter," he assures.
I ignore him playing with the surface of the sea.
âAre you still upset by my muses?â He mocks.
I swim towards the shore, I just want to get out and get away from him, every time he irritates me a lot more.
"For someone who thinks I'm insignificant, gets into what doesn't concern her very well," I say, looking at his eyes that travel through my body. My wet dress catches his eye.
He just smiles as usual.
Evening.
Parties are already customary, just like Poseidon and his women. Two women are dancing and moving their very sensual bellies, with seductive eyes and very little clothing.
"Your anger is just appreciation," Philias says. âPleasant him, just as he likes you,â she admits.
I look at her, sometimes she says things that confuse me instead of explaining.
âPhilias, a man...â
"Keryza, don't forget that we know the hearts," she reminds me. âBut he has let it show only with you. A miracle that he hasnât made you his woman yet,â she admits.
I bear the shock of her words, after all he has been through and done. Yes, I'm attracted to him, but I hate seeing him with so many women.
"Test him," she insists.
âNo, my madness would not be exaggerated. I don't want him to take me by force later,â I assure her.
"Keryza," she smiles. âYou're lying when you say you wouldn't like it... It's just that you want it just for yourself,â she admits.
I leave my gaze on her; she has never lied to me for pleasure or for doing so.
"You make me uncomfortable," I admit.
"I'm your friend and your caretaker," she says, enjoying her own words. âI know what you wantâ¦just like you liked Rehades, and he completely dislikes the idea. More if you are going to give him reasons,â she opines. âYou are the sixth human and the only one, including those of these empires, with whom I still don't know... hasn't copulated with you. He has never gotten along with Rehades, and the fact that you talked to him made him uncomfortable,â she smiles as if what I did was fine.
