Where's Zreyas

“There is one other problem,” Rhom said. “We don’t know where Zreyas is. My brothers and I watched him access the quantum, and he would be an amazing ally. Is there any way we can find out where he ended up and go get him? We have a lot at stake here.”

“Hmm, let me check…,” Rtu said, personality bubbling over. “It impressed us how fast he learned from you. It seems you have grown fond of the boy, and I can’t blame you. I like him a lot!” He looked over at Tulyata. “Dear mother, be so kind as to look it up for us since you have hogged all the devices in your own realm.”

Tulyata looked at him, incredulous. Rtu laughed as she started her typical busy work.

Rhom chuckled and Rtu let out a loud belly laugh that shocked Rhom so much he jumped.

Tulyata interrupted their laugh. “There, we have him. Well, this is interesting, he’s in one of the new galaxies... Oh my.”

“Don’t tell me, he’s in a bad spot.” Rhom said, groaning.

“You are correct. Two galaxies in that universe split. One of them is your home system, Rhom, Vela Eubeleus System. The other one is the Zagreus System.” Tulyata looked at Rtu, then back to the information. “You already gave the new sibling galaxies names.”

“Of course!” said Rtu proudly.

“Rhom, your home world galaxy of Vela has a new sister named Proioxis. And now it is heavily populated by the Janquar, and that… is where Zreyas is. I’m not sure how, though. Something weird is going on here because I should be able to get this information, balance or no balance, but it is not accessible for me.”

“So, I’m assuming Zreyas is on the same planet as those Janquar?” Rhom asked, trying to keep her on track and not get any more aggravated than he felt already.

“Correct. There is only one viable planet they can live on because the galaxy was just…” Tulyata paused and leaned forward. Her expression was as if she couldn’t believe she was seeing. “These two galaxies didn’t split.” She looked at Rtu, who nodded his head no to confirm they didn’t. “It’s like these two galaxies gave birth. Both new ones are very early-stage galaxies. The one that Vela birthed has a single umbilical-like connection.”

Rtu looked at her, head propped up on his hand and elbow on the arm of his chair. “Your assessment is correct, mother. However, it is reaching out in a few more areas trying to make connections to three other galaxies.”

Tulyata looked closer at the galaxy on her screen. “You are right, that’s interesting. We know energy has intelligence and transmits information, but these galaxies seem like they are more… sentient.”

“Fascinating! I can’t wait till I can get some time to do some research on this event! I need a lab to…” Rhom stopped for a moment.

Rtu and Tulyata looked almost excited, watching him as if they expected something.

“Why did I think about a lab?” Rhom
