Exercise technique: In the standing position, the participant holds a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder level with palms facing forward. The participant presses the weights overhead to a straight-arm position and then slowly returns to the

starting position. The participant should not bend or sway the back to complete a repetition.

Exercise technique: The participant stands with a dumbbell in each hand (palms facing forward) and the arms at the sides of the body. The participant bends the elbows to bring the weights toward the shoulders and then slowly returns to the starting position. The back should not be bent or swayed to complete a repetition.
