Warm it up
Now that you are stretched out and feeling good you need to warm the muscles up to prime them for load. This is probably the only time bodyweight squats are helpful; you want to concentrate on the fluidity of the movement to get warmed up properly. For example, if youâre warming up with a bodyweight squat focus on the eccentric portion of the movement, along with the isometric portion of the movement. Warming up gets the muscles warm and ready for a load, and it gets all of the muscles involved in the squat firing; namely the glute muscles, the hips, hamstrings, and core. When all of your muscles are firing youâre ready to make some booty gains!
