Chapter Six

Arabella wasn’t sure who the hell that was. How had the bouquet fallen at her feet? And by feet, she meant her Jimmy Choo stilettos. All strappy black and red and pretty much to die for.

Some women had all the luck.

“What do you say about getting out of here and going somewhere with me?” Jax’s solid body pressed into Arabella’s as his mouth came down to her ear. He was so devastatingly handsome. Kind. Said all the right things. How had she not already gotten it on with him tonight? Oh yeah, because she’d spent part of the night being stubborn as hell toward him. When what she really should have been doing was letting him explore the teensy black panties she’d bought from The Peekeasy. Yeah. Going by The Peekeasy now. It had been touch and go there for a while, but her sister and Cole managed to figure it out.

She wasn’t wearing a bra or those hideous nipple saucers her sister had tried to get her to wear because the bra didn’t go with this dress. And those nipple things? Just the thought of having avoided them made her nipples sing with freedom.

“If you have to think this hard about it, it’s probably not a good idea.”

Jax moved away from her backside, leaving her body in a cold slash heated state. She turned to face him. “No. It’s not that. It’s actually the opposite. I was daydreaming about the last time you and I went for a walk around the hotel. The way you touched me, teased me—”

“Tasted you.” His mouth went up into that wicked grin that made Arabella’s tummy feel fuzzy. Her nipples were hard as rocks beneath her dress and she glanced down wondering if he noticed.

When she looked at Jax, his gaze had followed hers. But his was lingering. And she liked it. She loved it. The way his jaw clenched as one of the corners of his mouth fought to go into a full-on grin. Like he was thinking naughty things and wanted to say them out loud but also wanted to be the gentleman that he was.

“Everyone gather around. It’s time for the garter toss. I need all single men to get out onto the dance floor.”

Arabella gripped Jax’s arm before he could get away. “That’s you. You have to go. Get out there.”

Jax grimaced, clearly not wanting to go.

“Just go,” Arabella shooed him.

“You can stand by us,” Justin said as he and Zander walked passed the two of them.

“Fine,” Jax started to walk off and then turned back to Arabella. Once again with that smile that crushed women’s hearts world-wide. “Wish me luck.”

“You got this.”

“I personally think he should take it off with his teeth. That’s what we brides all want,” Jillian said as she stood next to Arabella.

“You’re not a bride.”

“Not yet. But I know Cole will use his teeth. Michael better not disappoint his onlookers.”

Arabella pointed to Sophia and Michael—who was down on his knees. “Looks like he might be using his hands.
