A long exposure on this occasion smoothed out the water

beneath the boardwalk and introduced the reflection of the

mountain in the fjord. Nikon D800e, 24mm PC-E lens, f13, 74

seconds, Lee 0.6 Neutral Density Hard Graduated Filter, Lee Polariser,

Lee Big Stopper.

looks likely then there is little use in pointing your camera into the wind as the rain may arrive during your exposure and there would be little you could do to protect it. Also, during long exposure photography, use your body as a shield between the prevailing wind and your camera. Although you may have a sturdy tripod, one small gust is all it takes to shake your camera that tiny little bit and you will have wasted your time.
