GOD SAYS “WAIT”

You are my hiding place

Isaiah 64:4 (NIV) Since ancient times, no-one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.

There were various options available for the next step and I began to pray and seek the Lord. As I prayed, the Lord began to release words, signs, dreams for the next step. I was very excited especially when the dream was very vivid and precise and in line with what I had received earlier.

So, I excitedly returned to Singapore and shared this in an email with several of my leaders. However, I did not receive a response till after some weeks. When I finally met with them to process all this, the leaders said they had to say “no” to where I sensed the Lord was leading me after they prayed about it. Among their many explanations to this decision were their views that my theology was not in line with theirs. They said I was negative, not loving, and feared that I would be like poison to others.

I was overwhelmed and shocked when I came out from the various meetings. I realised that silence was my best defence. I felt a lot of pain and was very confused about what was happening, as well as how I was going to continue in this journey. I then sought advice from my DTS school leader and several international YWAM elders about what had happened and how I should process the current situation.

One of the leaders who had journeyed with me in Singapore and was living overseas at the time told me not to allow the enemy to shut down my voice. As a prophetic voice, I needed to speak what God had spoken. I needed to release the word, with no fear of men. But I also needed to exercise wisdom and caution. If people were responding with their mind and logic then I need to talk to them in a way that they can understand. I cannot allow the enemy to bring fear, and I needed to trust the Father who knows what is best, and will make all things beautiful in His time. One of the international leaders asked me what were the reasons given to me and advised that perhaps God wanted me to serve overseas because of the relationships I had overseas.

Proverbs 29:25 (NIV) Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS

I went into a time of prayer and seeking the Lord. One day, at a worship session when different Scripture verses were given out, I received one that said “Love Covers A Multitude of Sins.”

1 Peter 4:8 (ESV) Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
