July 15, 2268 & ED Year 6 Day 365.

As Alex removed the VR helmet from his head he felt alone as he got out of bed knowing that Sam, Nicole, Ava, Mia and Kate were all already at the wedding venue getting ready. With a sigh Alex made his way to the front area where he was met by Dan, Fred, and Henry, all of whom would be riding to the venue with him and each had a suit bag in their hands. A few good mornings paired with a few quick granola bars for breakfast and they all loaded up in an SUV, with a pair of bodyguards in the front, as they left. Dan was the first one to speak as they pulled away in the rental vehicle.

“So, Henry, when are you and Jessica going to join the rest of us and tie the knot?”

“Dude, not cool,” cut in Fred. “Even if Anna is putting you up to asking him, you could at least do it, well less blatantly. You know, like saying hey Henry, how are you and Jessica making out?”

“You’re both terrible,” commented Alex as he chuckled. “Henry, you can ignore them, but how about you and Johanna Smythe in ED?”

There was a round of laughter as Henry just shook his head before responding after the laughter died down.

“Dan, no date has been set or discussed and I think Jessica has some say on the if and when. Fred, we are doing good. There are still a few things that aren’t perfect, but what relationship is and Alex, go shove off. You all but forced me to court Johanna and know quite well that I am likely to be married to her the moment I am married in reality to a woman who can deal with her being part of my life. Honestly, kingdom politics isn’t what I want to be doing and I feel like I have been relegated to defending southern Nium and nothing else since reaching tier-7.”

“You have been,” replied Alex. “But that is because we are going to conquer Paidhia first and I need you leading that charge. Having you learning how to lead armies now has been the whole point and soon you should see around 40,000 level 250 and up NPCs arriving to act as the spearpoint for the invasion. Add in the 100,000 tier-7 players, 100,000 level 249 and under NPCs, plus the few million tier-6s and tier-5s players and NPCs that will follow right behind them and you have your invasion force army.”

“Do we even have that many members that have reached tier-7 yet?” asked Henry.

“No, but once we add in the members of Jingong, and all of the players we helped who are part of the Nium defense pact into the equation and we have around 10,000 past that. I would like to have double that, but other guilds have started to get tier-7 players of their own and if we don’t strike soon our advantage will evaporate.
