Suffering from heat exhaustion Gordon Smith flew home before Dundee’s match with Italian side Palermo in the New York Tourney but promised to fly back if the Dark Blues win their qualifying group. However, the match finished 1-1 with Bobby Waddell getting the Dundee goal and it means The Dee can’t now win the section with just one game to go.

WEDNESDAY 11th JUNE 1986

For the third tour match in a row, Graham Harvey is on target to give Dundee a 1-0 win over Orlando in the penultimate match of their tour of the USA and Canada. Harvey had scored in the two wins over Seattle Storm and FC Portland over the past five days which both finished 2-1 to The Dee.
