The King and Queen are happy to announce the engagement of His Royal Highness Prince Paul, 25, to Ms Sanne Holmes-Nordgren, 28, of Chicago, Illinois. The couple met while Ms Holmes-Nordgren was coordinating the wedding of The Prince’s older brother, Prince George to Mr Patrick Roughy. The Prince proposed with a sapphire and diamond ring while visiting Ms Holmes-Nordgren at her parents’ home in Union Pier, Michigan.

Miss Holmes-Nordgren is a senior events coordinator for Nordgren Events based in Chicago, Illinois and Michigan in the United States. She has planned weddings and other large events for the past decade. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in public relations and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with an emphasis in management. Miss Holmes-Nordgren is the daughter of Ms Hannah Holmes-Nordgren, a retired CEO, and Ms Elisabeth Holmes-Nordgren, formerly the face of SAS, Dior, and currently the CEO of Nordgren Events.

The couple’s engagement photos, released today, were taken by American photographer Leann Dobbs on the Lake Michigan shore. An engagement interview will be conducted today after the photocall with both families today at the Sandringham Estate. The couple will marry at St. Giles’s Cathedral in Edinburgh on October 6th with a reception to follow at Holyrood House.
