Eucharist in Luke

Christ’s presence in Eucharist is core to Luke’s Gospel. Not only does Luke include an account of Jesus instituting Eucharist at his last meal with the disciples, the Passover meal,[2] but he also teaches (through his infancy narrative) that Jesus is truly food for the flock and (through his story of the two disciples on the road to Emmaus) that Jesus remains with his people, especially in Eucharist. Christ’s presence in Eucharist is an ever-present theme in Luke’s Gospel.
