How often in the last few weeks had she complained of 'feeling sad'. Of 'feeling frustrated'. Of 'feeling confused'. The rest of the crew had thought that it was Grant attempting to give the voice as much personality as possible. But he was too lazy to involve himself in such refinements. So when the crew commented or chuckled at her 'neurotic' qualities, he only smiled and laughed along with them.
