Myth: You can only eat âcleanâ foods.
It makes sense that if you want to build a better body you need to improve your nutrition, but it is easy to get too strict in terms of your diet, especially while cutting. If you restrict your diet too severely you put yourself at risk for cravings and you are more likely to give in to temptation in a big way. Rather, aim to eat clean about 90% of the time and give yourself 10% wiggle room.
Myth: You canât eat fat while youâre cutting.
Many people mistakenly assume that in order to shed body fat you must completely remove fat from your diet. In reality, increasing your fat consumption (while still maintaining a calorie deficit) can actually help you to burn MORE fat. Just make sure that most of the fat you consume comes from monounsaturated fats like avocado, olive oil, nuts and seeds â some saturated fats from beef and other red meats are also okay.
