CHAPTER 22

JUDY

He came back into his office with a strange look on his face. He handed me the cold can and stood in front of me.

“Thank you.” I smiled.

He nodded. “You’re welcome.”

I opened the can and took a drink with his eyes on me. I saw the heat there. He was looking at me in that way once again. The way that made me feel like we were about to be naked. I licked my lips and watched him walk to the door and close it. He turned the lock and then looked at me once again.

Our eyes locked. “Max.”

“Judy, this is wrong, and I want you to tell me to stop,” he said. “Tell me we can’t do this in the office.”

I didn’t have to wonder what he was referring to. It was pretty clear he wanted what I wanted. He wanted sex. I was not going to tell him I didn’t want him. Fuck that.

“I won’t say that,” I said in a husky voice.

He stepped close before leaning over and putting the can of soda on the desk. I put mine next to his and stared up at him. I wasn’t going to make the first move. He had to do it. He had to be the one to touch me first.

“You have to tell me to stop,” he said.

“What if I don’t want you to stop?” I asked.

He groaned, dropping his head forward. I watched him drag in deep breaths. He was fighting an internal battle with himself. I didn’t see what was wrong. We had already had sex. We were in the office alone. No one was going to know.

He lifted his eyes to mine once again. I saw the turbulence there. My hand went to his tie and gently pulled at it to loosen it. He didn’t stop me. His arms hung at his sides. “Fuck,” he groaned and grabbed my face in his hands.

It was the first time he’d touched me since the other night. I felt like I was on fire. He yanked my face up and toward him. His mouth came down on mine. It was rough and fierce and so fucking hot.

We turned and I walked him backward until we hit the desk. He turned and pressed me into the edge of it. His hands were on my waist. He lifted me up as he bent and put his knees on the floor in front of me. I had no idea what he was going to do with me like that.

I gasped when he lifted my skirt. My eyes moved down to watch. He hooked his fingers in my panties and tugged them down. His eyes stayed on mine the entire time. I was the one to close my eyes.

I felt his lips on my thigh. I couldn’t stop the moan that escaped me. His eyes moved down to the apex of my thighs, and I felt my cheeks flush. He didn’t say anything as he quietly admired the most intimate part of me.
