Khaifa was not convinced things were going well on Thor's Hammer.

That much was clear to Ironhorse in her body language, despite having received no information that their situation - her situation - was any worse now than it had been before they'd released what his fellow Rangers had begun calling the 'Batshit Bianca' recording. So, when the first new transmission came through, while Ironhorse was gearing up with a small squad of Rangers, everyone stopped and listened.

A civilian broadcast that had been operating on a regular basis prior to Upshaw locking down all channels had begun broadcasting again, the two hosts discussing the recent developments on Thor's Hammer.

Discussing, specifically, how Nasrin Khaifa was right to take the action she did, and how unhinged it seemed the Prime Minister had become to give someone like Upshaw such power within his government. And then they spoke to others.

Looking over at Khaifa, Ironhorse saw her staring intently at her tablet as if the audio transmission might suddenly become video at any moment.

Somehow, the hosts had managed to get man-on-the-street interviews - other civilians, purportedly chosen at random, expressing support for Khaifa. Whether they were really random interviews or not didn't matter in the slightest to Ironhorse. The important factor was that there was now public support for what had until then been a constitutional issue debated behind closed doors.

"I think Upshaw needs to tread carefully," said one of the voices on the broadcast. "You know, because she's broken at least one law, right? You can't order people to assassinate people."

"You shouldn't," said Khaifa.

"You have public support," said Ironhorse, trying to get the point through.

"Two broadcasters and three random civilians."

"And how many people will be listening to this?" he said. "It's out there now that people think you've done the right thing. That Upshaw's fucking nuts."

"And," said Van Der Berg, "how many listeners are nodding their heads privately, but keeping quiet in public because there are armed ATC Castle troops running around the station with orders to kill you?"

Nodding, Ironhorse picked up his Trondheim Arms 33A1 assault rifle and slapped in a magazine.

"I aim to go do something about that, if it's okay with you," he said to Khaifa.

"I don't want any shootouts, Ironhorse. Not when there are civilians around."

"Just going to try to contain things," he said.

At her nod, he signalled his five-person team and headed for the door, but was intercepted by Van Der Berg before he could leave.

"I'm not in a position to give orders, so consider this a suggestion," she said, handing him a small tablet. It was about a third of the size of a standard unit and it displayed what looked like the deck plans of Thor's Hammer. One particular room was highlighted.

Ironhorse looked up at Van Der Berg, a brow raised in a silent question.

"Bring her in alive, so she can stand trial."

Looking back to the map, he stared for a moment before he understood what he was looking at. No one really knew where Upshaw did
