My best friend’s family

Klaus: What will you do this weekend?

Viviana: I don’t know yet. What about you?

Klaus: I am going on a trip with my friend Adam’s family.

Viviana: Oh, really? Are you close to his family?

Klaus: Yes, they’re like my second family.

Viviana: That’s so nice. What will you do?

Klaus: They have a house by the lake. So, we are going there.

Viviana: Cool! How many years have you been friends with Adam?

Klaus: About twelve years. We met in elementary school.

Viviana: Aww. Does Adam have siblings?

Klaus: Yes. He has a younger sister.

Viviana: How old is she?

Klaus: She’s sixteen. She’s still in high school.

Viviana: I see. Will she go to the lake, too?

Klaus: I think so. She’s also friends with my sister. So, it’s like we’re one big family!

Viviana: Oh, wow! That’s perfect.

Klaus: It is.

Viviana: Will your sister be there this weekend?

Klaus: No, she has to study for the SATs.

Viviana: Oh, I see.

Klaus: She’s really jealous that we are going without her.

Viviana: Well, hopefully she gets a good score and then both of your families can celebrate together!

Klaus: Yes! That’s a good idea.
