Chapter Fourteen

It was morning, and as the sun shined in I felt hope that everything was going to be better. The worst was over and I was where I belonged. Victor wasn’t in the bed with me, but I could hear him out in the living room. After stretching, I started to get out of the bed but was stopped by the mind-numbing headache in the back of my head. I had to sit back down. There was a tray with a glass of water and two pills on my night stand. I smiled at his thoughtfulness. I took a deep breath, took the pills, and started up again using the night stand for support.

I left the lights off in the bathroom as I took a quick shower. With the lights off it was hard to see what I was doing, but I knew the light would be killer on my headache. After I was sparkling clean and feeling brand new I went back into the bedroom to get dressed. My head was already feeling better from the medication and the warm shower. I went straight for my sweat pants and tank top, but stopped when I heard Victor whistling a happy tune in the living room. I smiled and reached for one of his band shirts and that was all. Giggling, I pulled my hair up in a messy bun and started toward the living room.

He was bent down picking something up from the coffee table so I ran up behind him quietly and wrapped my arms around him.

“Baby!” He laughed, shooting up and turning around to hug me back.

“Ah, she is finally awake!” I heard a female voice say from behind me.

Part of me expected to see Margo there but I was surprised to see an older woman. She was beautiful and was dressed in a Chanel dress suit. Her grey hair was up in a bun and diamond studs glistened from her ears. She looked stunning so early in the morning. His mother was no longer with us, so who was this?

“Olivia, this is my grandmother,” He smiled.

“Lovely to meet you,” I blushed, remembering my nakedness under my shirt.

“And you have already met my father,” Victor said as his father rounded the corner.

My face went beet red as I looked down at the floor.

“Nice to see you again Olivia, wasn’t expecting to see so much of you,” His father teased.

“Christopher!” Victor's grandmother hissed. “I apologize my dear, please take whatever time you need. I would love to sit and chat with you for a while when you are ready,” She smiled.

I nodded and made a beeline for the bedroom; I could feel Victor following me.

“I’m sorry honey,” He laughed and closed the door behind us.

“It’s not your fault,” I said sweetly while grabbing one of my dresses.

I quickly took my hair down and brushed it out. Next I grabbed some diamond studs of my own, pinched my checks, swiped on some mascara and finished off with a little lip gloss.
