This shows a tank from C Squadron, 16th/5th Lancers, Operation Armadillo’s Delight, in the Wadi Msirah area, Radfan, Aden Protectorate, in 1965. This vehicle features much glossy black colour on its sides and the turret. Notable is the ID strip in white. The insets depict insignia applied on most of the vehicles of that unit (including its Saladins, Saracens, Fox/ Ferrets etc.).
The Centurion Mk XIII was the last in the line of the Centurion gun tanks. It was essentially a Mk X fitted with infrared equipment and a ranging gun.
