Homemade Oat and Almond Flours
If you don’t have oat or almond flour on hand, you can make your own from scratch. Simply place old-fashioned rolled oats or raw almonds (no more than 1 cup) in a food processor or high-speed blender (such as a Vitamix) and pulse until very finely ground (be careful not to overprocess the almonds, or you’ll end up with almond butter). Store the flour in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 week, or refrigerate it for up to 1 month.
