John Ingersol returned home to a concerned wife and a bugged house. Mary Ingersol didn’t look surprised at the news of his suspension. He knew she’d been anticipating it. John had kept her informed through notes of what was happening. Still, she vocalized her dismay in an articulate manner for the sake of the hidden mikes in the house. Later that night, Officer Kelly came by to visit. As the two of them spoke, John slipped the man a piece of paper and kept talking. Officer Kelly read the note.
