Using a satnav on a scooter was not easy. When Angie had entered the coordinates that Zach had included in one of the files she'd downloaded she saw that it was in Norfolk. That's a long way from Romford and Angie was starting to shift in the seat to relieve the growing discomfort. At least now she was on the same screen as her destination, although from her smartphone satnav app it didn't look as if there was even a road where the coordinates pointed.

It was well into the afternoon as she coasted to a stop and planted both feet on the ground, stretching her legs gratefully. About fifty yards ahead there were two cottages leaning against one another beside some trees. These were the only buildings in view, so she assumed this was where Zach had directed her. She slowly approached and saw a large motorbike under a tree next to the first cottage. She knew Zach liked bikes but last time she'd seen him, he hadn't got one. She rocked the scooter onto its stand and knocked on the first door. An elderly lady opened the door and before Angie could say anything she called:

“Zach, you have a visitor. Do come in dear, it's getting chilly, that East wind gets its coldness from Russia you know.”

Angie followed Aunt Dorothy into the kitchen as Zach came down the narrow stairs.

He remembered Angie as a bit plain. She was great company and knew more about World of Warcraft than Zach would ever know. She'd always had short hair and wore rather shapeless sweatshirts and jeans but the new Angie had long wavy dark hair and although still in jeans Zach's eyes were drawn to the previously unnoticed curves the jeans clung to. Once she slipped off her coat Zach knew he was staring but had trouble lifting his eyes from her t-shirt. It wasn't the mathematical joke written in script across the front he was admiring.

“Hi Angie.”

“Hi Zach.”

There was an awkward moment before they leaned towards each other and hugged delicately.

“I'll put the kettle on.” said Aunt Dorothy. “You two sit down through there and I'll be two minutes.”
