This is the best way to go about reducing calorie intake to ensure you continue losing fat without burning up too much muscle.

Now, it can happen that your intake reaches your BMR, but you haven’t yet reached your desired body fat percentage. This is okay.

The solution isn’t to increase training frequency or further reduce calories. Stay at your BMR intake until weight loss stops, and then begin reverse dieting to speed up your metabolism. You will gain minimal body fat in this period, if any at all.

Once you’ve completed your reverse diet (you’re able to eat your TDEE without gaining weight), you can begin cutting again and should have plenty of time to now reach your desired look.
